Our Resource Specialist provides small group and one-on-one instruction to students requiring support in the areas of reading, writing, math and other areas as needed. A Resource Specialist will communicate on-going student progress to parents/guardians, general education teachers, school administration, district personnel and other service professionals via progress reporting and Individual Education Plans. The Resource Specialist is responsible for maintaining on-going compliance in accordance with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).
This position is an after school position requiring the Teacher to work in an one-on-one setting providing compensatory education services.
- Must hold a valid California Credential in Special Education or area of specialization or must be enrolled in a program and have passed the CBEST.If on an Intern credential, must be willing to comply with all state requirements for renewal of document.
- Two years experience in special education preferred.
- Experience in auditing and monitoring of compliance for district, state and federal regulations regarding special education, including facilitating IEP meetings, preferred.
