Job Description

Duties andresponsibilities Summary:

SAIC is currently looking for SecurityAnalysts to support launch system SE&I activities for the Launch Enterprise(LE) Directorate at SMC. This position is located at Vandenberg AFB, CA. Keyaspects of this oversight will include the following:

Develop, store and manage applicablesecurity documentation

Evaluate and update the programSecurity Operating Instruction (SOI)

Evaluate security documentation andprovide recommendations to support systems security self-inspections

Support personnel securityactivities including clearance checks, visit requests, badging, system accessforms, area access forms, entry access lists, etc. via Joint PersonnelAdjudication System

Support physical security includingRandom Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) activities and end of day security checksas required.

Support SMC/LE security training,i.e. develop annual security briefing, newcomer security briefings, etc.

Provide support to ITAR assessments

Job SpecificResponsibilities:

Develops,and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietarymaterials, documents, and equipment.

Studiesand implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.

Obtainsrulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance withregulations from government agencies.

Preparesmanuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling,storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access torestricted records and materials.

Conductssecurity education classes and security audits. Investigates securityviolations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.  


Required Qualifications& Experience

Clearancelevel: DoD Secret; TS/SCI desired

Participated with senior managers toestablish plans and objectives

Ability to recommend/make decisionson administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement ofprogram, project, or organizational objectives


Desired Education andYears of Experience

Bachelors and six (6) years or moreof related experience


Masters and four (4) years or moreof related experience

PhD or JD and zero (0) years or moreof related experience
