Job Description

ResourceMFG Search Group is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in the Salt Lake City, UT area!
This person would be manufacturing intricate sub-assemblies using a microscope under a laminar flow hood.
High levels of dexterity and visual acuity is required.​

Position: Manufacturing Technician

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of your manager, the Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for the manufacture, quality and testing of mechanical subassemblies with a primary focus on silicone injected molding and microfluidic manifolds/kits along with a variety of other activities necessary to support manufacturing.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble and test a variety of microfluidic subassemblies requiring small, manual adjustments done under a microscope with high precision.
  • Utilizes a variety of custom test processes and equipment to inspect and test assemblies
  • Strong trouble-shooting skills utilizing various custom equipment and measurement technologies
  • Has the ability to read and interpret technical documents such as drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and work instructions/procedures
  • Creates technical work instructions and other manufacturing related documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to use logic and reasoning to assess issues and effectively work towards resolution
  • Processes and resolves CAPA and Non-conformances
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment (Cleanroom)
  • Focus on continuous improvement utilizing lean manufacturing and other problem-solving techniques
  • High levels of dexterity and visual acuity is vital.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years working with other complex assemblies requiring high levels of dexterity and visual acuity
  • Experience working in cleanrooms, laminar flow hood and clean manufacturing environments
  • Highly detail oriented with a strong focus on quality
  • Works independent with limited direction; self starter
  • Collaborative and team oriented
EDUCATION
  • Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Technology related fields or equivalent experience, preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Dexterity to work with small components requiring small, precise alignment
