Northrop Grumman Innovation Systemsdesigns, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems tocustomers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles andrelated propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defenseelectronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites andassociated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Develops, modifies, applies, andmaintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processingmaterials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborateswith engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are inplace. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testingand evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms andequipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysisto assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products ormaterials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Auditsquality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures thatcorrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and thatdocumentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas ofdesign, incoming material, production control, product evaluation andreliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply toproduct or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma qualityengineering methodologies.
Basic qualifications for an Associate Quality Engineer are: 2 years of relevant work experience witha Bachelor of Science Degree
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
Proposal, Program, and MESexperience is a plus.
