Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal System Engineer or a Sr. Principal System Engineer based out of Redondo Beach, CA.

  

What You'll get to Do:

  

Application of systems engineering processes to develop systems that meet customer requirements. Perform as Product Owner on an Agile Team responsible for prioritizing the backlog and maintaining system integrity. Perform liaison activities with customer and associate contractors. Provide support to various technical working groups. Maintain/track/report on Systems Engineering metrics, progress, and status. Coordinate security and Information Assurance Cybersecurity activities. Establish and implement a System Safety and Hazard Analysis Program Plan. Develop and implement a System Safety Program Plan. Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, and test. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Identify and manage program risks and opportunities. Analysis/management of Systems Requirements, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation (e.g. DOORS, Requisite Pro). Develop System Architecture/UML artifacts using Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies (e.g. Enterprise Architecture). Coordinate system integration/installation, verification & validation, & acceptance testing. Perform technical planning, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Basic Qualifications for aPrincipal System Engineer:

  • Bachelor's inScience, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics related Degree with 5 yearsof experience, or Master's in STEM related Degree with 3 years of experience.

  • Current ActiveSecret security clearance

  • Experience withMS Windows applications and proficient in the use of MS Office software.

  • Able to functionin multi-disciplinary team-oriented environment and rapidly adapt to changingwork priorities.

 

Basic Qualifications for a Sr.Principal System Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degreein Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics related degree with 9years of experience, or Master's in STEM related degree with 7 years ofexperience, or PhD with 4 years of experience.

  • Current ActiveSecret security clearance.

  • Experience withMS Windows applications and proficient in the use of MS Office software.

  • Able to functionin multi-disciplinary team-oriented environment and rapidly adapt to changingwork priorities.

 

PreferredQualifications:

  • Experiencewriting software or system requirements for sensors (EO/IR, radar, etc.),ground systems, mission planning, avionics or related systems.

  • Experience withrequirements database development, management, maintenance experience (e.g.DOORS, Requisite Pro).

  • Experience withTrade Studies analysis/development.
