The Field Investigator Supervisor manages the Field investigator group and ensures that they follow through on pending projects and their usual day to day field assignments


Customer Service

The Field Investigator Supervisor ensures that the field investigator team exhibits outstanding problem solving skills as well as excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills when communicating with recipients, health care facilities, and the transportation provider network by;

Holding regular meetings with the group to ascertain trends noticed in the field.

Regularly evaluate each investigator based on their reports and facility feedback.

Regularly communicates with providers.

Managing complaints against any member of the group accordingly and escalating to the Director of Operations when necessary.

Establishes, maintains and strengthens processes to investigate, validate, resolve, respond to, follow-through on and prevent complaint(s) based on provider transgressions through strong front end management of vehicle inspections and contract enforcement.

Transportation Provider Network

Assumes primary responsibility for network support, improvement and contract enforcement directed by the Director of Operations

In conjunction with the Regional manager/s, communicates with providers, visits them regularly to observe their fleets in action in order to ensure that providers know contract requirements, adhere to contract.

Reports all discoveries by Field investigator team of fraudulent practices discovered in the field

Assists the Transportation Manager in managing the distribution of work between the providers by communicating redlined vehicles and newly approved vehicles in real-time.

Maintains inventory of and reports quarterly on all vehicles and drivers

Maintains applicable certification(s), and is able to oversee driver training and inspect vehicles, if necessary.

Relations with Healthcare Facilities

Initiates investigations into facilities based on recommendation from the Healthcare Manager

Manage fraud and abuse

Data Collection, Maintenance and Reporting


Reports monthly to the Director of Operations on:

  • Ø Provider and facility visits, field work and training inspections (if any)
  • Ø Complaints and investigations
  • Ø Field Investigator hours and assignments
  • Ø Reports on vehicles and driver counts regularly
  • Ø Issues reports as requested by the DO and GM

Assumes primary responsibility and leadership for quarterly advisory and Field Investigator workload


Submits budgets as directed and maintains day-to-day control of Field Investigator operational expenditures

Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Director

2 or 4 year college degree preferred

Current certification from the CTAA and NSC is a plus


Transportation and/or vehicle maintenance experience preferred

Prior audit experience and/or knowledge of Medicaid guidelines a plus


Valid/current driver's license and a clean driving record

Basic knowledge of assigned state along with ability to read and follow maps

Ability to follow complex instructions

Must be flexible to work a variety of work schedules/hours

Must be willing and able to travel locally 75%+ within assigned state

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Must be self-motivated and possess superior time management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Ability to accurately type 35+ corrected words per minute


Directly supervises Field Monitors and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
