POSITION OVERVIEW

Houlihan Lokey is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Data & Analytics team within our Human Capital Group department.  This role involves various projects designed to evolve our Human Capital Group’s strategy, processes and technology that will ultimately enhance our operations and recruiting effort.  The Business Analyst will work closely with key stakeholders across the firm, requiring the candidate to be adaptable/comfortable working in a dynamic setting.

The successful candidate will evolve his/her experience in data analytics and project management to facilitate strategic business decisions and HRIS systems implementation/administration.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build models to analyze historical results and predict potential future drivers and detractors of performance encompassing, but not limited, to attrition and retention, expenses, headcount, recruiting, operational effectiveness and ROI on various programs

  • Create management presentations for the Head of Human Capital Group with the ability to understand and interpret the underlying data

  • Collaborate with relevant corporate departments and business lines to develop KPIs and create, enhance and/or maintain cyclical reporting

  • Develop a fluency in all data and systems from multiple sources across the firm

  • Respond to ad hoc requests for information, analyses and action planning

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting and analysis

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data

KEY ATTRIBUTES / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience in a quantitative or technical discipline such as engineering, statistics, mathematics, science, operations research, econometrics, finance/accounting or related field preferred

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills in Excel (familiarity with VBA macros a plus)

  • Intermediate technical skills in Tableau

  • Experience working with ERP/HRIS systems, e.g. Workday and Taleo

  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize quantitative analysis and effectively communicate findings

  • Proven project management capabilities, including experience running multiple projects simultaneously with overlapping deadlines and an ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritization, time pressures and adhere to deadlines

  • The Business Analyst will report to the VP, Human Capital Group Operations and Business Services
