MBRDNA is headquartered in Silicon Valley,California, with key areas of Autonomous Driving, Advanced Interaction Design,Digital User Experience, Machine Learning, Customer Research, and OpenInnovation. In Redford, Michigan, the focus is on Powertrain and eDrivetechnology as well as in Long Beach, where the teams test durability of thelatest driver assistant and telematic systems. The Digital Hub in Seattlefocusses on developing a cloud architecture and building out the cloud platformfor the next generation of connected car services. The Testing and RegulatoryAffairs Division in Ann Arbor and the Advanced Vehicle Design in Carlsbadcomplete the competence center.

Start Date:  This internship position will begin in January or February of 2020, and last for 6 months. The start date is somewhat flexible but full time is required for 6 months.”

Job Introduction: (Primary purpose of this position)         

TechCenter education and supporting engineering group.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
•Assist in different projects of the Powertrain engineering group
• Work as part of the engineering team
• Performing vehicle read outs & software updates
• Measurement equipment installation and maintenance (hardware and software)
• Data handling and analysis (script creation and data presentation)



Required Qualifications
  • Minimum level ofeducation required and required field of study: 

    Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar Engineering degree
    (prefer Junior or above status).

  • Minimum skillsrequired : 

    •Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word & VBA)
    •Computer Programming Basics (Matlab programming, project based)
    •Experience with Engine Diagnostic Tools Preferred (Automotive Workshop Tools, Ecoute, Monaco)
    •Experience with Engine Calibration Software Preferred (DAQ Tools, INCA)
    •Strong Time Management Skills
    •Interpersonal skills to work with a variety of levels and intercultural employees.
    •Previous automotive hands-on or club experience (Automotive Technician or SAE Club experience).

  • Will acceptequivalent work experience in lieu of formal education


  • Minimum years ofexperience required (Non-exempt positions only):

    0-2 years

  • Other licenses orcertifications required :

Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferprevious automotive internship experience.
