What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Head Start Data Specialist who will be responsible for supporting and administering the Head Start application. S/he provides instructions, advises system users, troubleshoots and analyzes problems/issues relating to the information system software. The Data Specialist coordinates usage to service area users and ensure compliance with legal and administrative requirements. Other requirements include:

  • Ability to manage database applications, SQL, create reports, and extract data as needed.
  • Experience with ChildPlus and Learning Genie or other early childhood assessment tool applications.
  • Ability to evaluate and translate our business needs into software requirements.
  • Able to effectively navigate and provide support for Office 365 and SharePoint.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

  • Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems.

  • Familiarity with desktop products including Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge of Child Care Licensing Regulations and Head Start Performance Standards and best practices related to systems tracking, is desired.
