Solutions Architect


Responsible for evaluating, creating, and enhancing technical solutions across the enterprise thru workflows, script automation, custom programs, and process improvement using  SharePoint, C#, .NET, PowerShell, Java, SQL, PowerBI, Data warehouse and other applications to provide efficiencies and solutions to business units to automate banking activites, and expand data reporting.   


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Create and implement Script Automation/Process Improvement /WorkFlow Solutions

  2. Assist with SharePoint Development for forms and workflows

  3. Ability to use C#/.NET/PowerShell/Java for automation related requests.

  4. Generate and satisfy internal/external data report requests with the use of advanced knowledge of SQL, SSIS, SSRS and PowerBI

  5. Create application diagrams, process flow diagrams, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.

  6. Support technical development in designing, testing and implementing application changes.

  7. Interface/engage with business units to clearly and concisely document business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications.  

  8. Support technical development in designing, testing and implementing application changes.

  9. Contributes to and strategically manages the roadmaps for data transformation solutions for the team

  10. Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.

  11. Provide, present, and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.

  12. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience                                                    

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from four year college or technical school; (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills                                                     

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability                                                  

Ability to define problems or inefficiencies in processes/existing solutions, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills                                                     

  1. Microsoft SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI experience recommended.

  2. Strong problem-solving skills across both process and technical domains.

  3. Ability to communicate and translate technical strategy to non-technical business leaders and senior management.

  4. 5+ years of design Workflow experience

  5. Hands-on experience with PowerShell

  6. .Net/Java proficiency a plus.

  7. Exposure to Cloud integration technologies is a plus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

A plus:

  1. Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools (PowerBI)

  2. IBM Cognos Training or Certification

  3. Microsoft SQL (2008, 2012, 2016)

Other Skills and Abilities                                                 

Good oral and written communication skills evidenced by a background in preparing comprehensive documentation incorporating complex information.

Ability to work third party vendors, in-house technology partners, or peers within the bank Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment.

Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision/self-motivated and ability to work independently.                                             

Strong organizational, leadership, decision making, mentorship and communication skills.

Ability to plan, revise and execute project work plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

Strong problem-solving skills across both process and technical domains.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
