Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, a Magnet® designated hospital is looking for an experienced Change Agent to lead a team delivering excellent patient and family centered care in the Division of Adolescent Medicine (ages 12-24). The staff is diverse in every way and being culturally competent and practicing cultural humility is important.
The Clinical Services Manager, Ambulatory Adolescent Medicine is a professional who promotes a team based approach to patient care. The Clinical Services Manager will oversee the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient clinical/nursing care, will facilitate the flow of patient care and will supervise, coordinate and manage the clinical staff. This is a working manager with at least 10% of the time providing direct patient care.
The Ambulatory PCS Manager will be a key member in program planning and development, ambulatory clinic operations and throughput, partnering with faculty and physician leadership to maintain clinical excellence within the division. Responsibilities also include ongoing education and development of clinical staff. This includes ancillary staff in other programs on an as needed basis. On-going interactions as needed with the Substance Abuse, Teen Parenting and Behavioral Health Programs for Adolescent Medicine.
Minimum Education: Bachelors in Nursing required and Masters in Nursing, Healthcare or Business Administration required.
Minimum Experience: Previous supervisory experience required. 2+ years of nursing leadership experience preferred. Previous fiscal management experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Experience with LGBTQ population required, HIV and Behavioral Health experience helpful. Experience working in an Academic Medical Center preferred. Spanish helpful.
License, Registration or Certification required: Current Registered Nurse California Licensure, CPR and PALS. Certification as a Nurse Executive (NE-BC) or Nurse Executive, Advanced (NEA-BC) preferred.
