Reports to: SAD Team Leader II

Full/Part Time Status: Full-Time

Work Location: Los Angeles, CA

Travel Requirement: 10%

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  1. Proper record keeping of all relevant documents for all loans assigned.
  2. Communicate with all obligors, as well as all involved and interested third parties on an assigned loan as the primary contact for the Bank.
  3. Assess and analyze problems and causes of problems on loans at time of assignment through making timely business site visitations, interviewing obligors, reviewing loan files.
  4. Identify and report to appropriate channels any significant document discrepancies pertaining to loan and collateral.
  5. Collect and analyze relevant information for loan workout, collateral liquidation, and legal actions.
  6. Exercise prudent judgment in the care, preservation, and liquidation of collateral.
  7. Act and communicate in such manner to minimize liability for the Bank.
  8. Recommend and discuss workout and or liquidation strategies to minimize loss to the Bank and to maximize recovery.
  9. Initiate and monitor liquidation and legal actions carried out by outside professionals.
  10. Periodically and accurately report to the management as to the status of all assigned problem loans – i.e. monthly SAD Status Log, SAD Meeting Report, OREO Status Report, Classified Asset Report, Charge Off / Recovery Log, Charge Off Status Log, etc.
  11. Subject to final approval by the appropriate approving authority, negotiate with obligors, 3rd parties, buyers, vendors on terms and conditions.
  12. Assist in the supervision and training of Special Assets Officer.
  13. Comply with the Bank’s security program, including but not limited to:

 

o Review and comply with the End-User Computing Agreement

o Acquire good knowledge on functions and usage of computer systems as related to the assigned job functions.

o Be current and knowledgeable in industry’s trend in safeguarding the Bank against confidential data leak, identity theft, fraudulent activities, and computer security threats.

o Reports suspicious activities to manager, Chief Risk Officer or Information Security Officer.

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from a 4 year college or university; related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Good oral communication skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  3. Able to comply with the Bank’s established loan policies and procedures.
  4. Comply with all guidelines, procedures and eligibility requirements
  5. Comply with regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act- Anti Money Laundering, OFAC, US Patriot Act, Privacy Act and Community Reinvestment Act
  6. Previous experience a plus.
