We are hiring for:

PRODUCE MANAGER


Receives produce deliveries, builds and maintains produce displays and rotates stock as needed. Disposes of trash in produce area as needed. Keeps produce department clean including floors and tables. Replenishes bag rolls in the display aisles as needed. Obtains produce from receiving area and moves to produce department using hand truck or pallet jack.

Prepares product for placement on sales floor by trimming, washing, banding or wrapping in plastic with or without placement in display trays. Surplus items may be placed in crisping trays for storage in the cooler. Cleans scales, mirrors, department floor area and wet and dry racks. Cleaning of floors is especially critical in this area as pieces of produce and wet spots may produce a slippery condition. Cleans wet racks and sprayers.

Must empty wet racks and dry racks on a regular basis and clean with disinfectant. Cooler box is cleaned by spraying with water and wiping with a squeegee. Trains, supervises, schedules and assigns duties to Produce Clerks. Follows division guidelines for implementation of the merchandising program. Rotates product and removes out of state stock daily.

Changes signs and prices as directed by merchandising. Inventories floor stock and cooler stock daily. Writes produce order. Checks order for completeness upon arrival. Responsible for maintaining appropriate stock and inventory in the produce area.

6. Desired: Prior experience as a manager.
7. Desired: Prior experience with produce.

Shift work to include: weekdays, weekends, and varied schedules - Reflected by store operational needs.
