We are hiring for:

Bakery Manager

As a primary contact for Safeway customers, the Bakery Manager provides friendly, courteous and helpful service.


JOB DUTIES:

1. Provide customer service as currently defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy.
2. Wrap and price bakery goods and place goods on counters, tables, and in display cases.
3. Wait on customers, clean shelves and display cases.
4. Place price stickers on wrapped items. Clean, fill and rotate self service displays and tables and monitor throw aways.
5. Work with customers to take special orders.
6. Trains, supervises and assigns duties to bakery clerks.
7. Follows division guidelines for the implementation of merchandising program. Rotates product and removes out of date product daily. Changes signs and prices as directed by merchandising.
8. Inventories floor stock, cooler stock and freezer stock daily. Writes supply order in the order book and inputs on computer. Checks order for completeness upon arrival. Responsible for maintaining appropriate stock in inventory in the bakery area.
9. May take orders in person or over the telephone.
10. Assists with cleaning food preparation tools daily. Wipes down counters and may help out by washing pots, pans, or cooking utensils.
15. Other duties as assigned.
