Woodcraft Rangers is looking for a person who has professional qualifications in the field of dance, drama, media or fine arts, with a background in child education and/or youth development.
This position is designed to promote specialized art clubs in our after school program. A qualified professional artist will be hired to work in eight-week cycles. Each instructor will work two consecutive eight-week cycles then will be moved to a different school site. At each school site the Traveling Specialist will be responsible for completing a project at the end of their cycle. The project will be developed by the instructor with their students and will incorporate the fundamentals of the art as well as, learned technique and a background history. Classes will be two days a week, three hours a day. The rate of pay is $25.00-$30.00 per hour. Chorus/Vocalist- Students will get voice training and form a choir. The choir does not have to be traditional songs and should not be religious based songs from one faith. Students will learn history of several different cultural and ethnic singing groups. At the end of a sixteen week cycle students will perform songs from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Important Notes
