Job: Traveling Specialist-Digital Music Composer

Woodcraft Rangers is looking for a person who has professional qualifications in the field of dance, drama, media or fine arts, with a background in child education and/or youth development.

This position is designed to promote specialized art clubs in our after school program. A qualified professional artist will be hired to work in eight-week cycles. Each instructor will work two consecutive eight-week cycles then will be moved to a different school site. At each school site the Traveling Specialist will be responsible for completing a project at the end of their cycle. The project will be developed by the instructor with their students and will incorporate the fundamentals of the art as well as, learned technique and a background history.

Classes will be two days a week, three hours a day.

The rate of pay is $25.00-$30.00 per hour.


Digital music composer- Students will learn how to make beats, mix, smash, and compose their own music with programs like Apple Fruity Loops. Students will learn the history of traditional music and the influence Jazz, African, and Classic Rock n’ Roll has on composing music today. Each student will make a cd of original music by the end of a two month cycle.
