Job: Vice President, Information Technology

*Designs, develops and implements comprehensive, computer based information systems
*Provides information technology and managements services to maximize effectiveness of data collection, processing and reporting
*Defines and solves user requirements and develops and implements computer applications and solutions
*Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively
*Manages department budget and controls expenses
*Prepares and maintains technical specifications and related documentation to secure procedures and prevent system failure
*Responsible for companys disaster recovery plan
*Researches and makes recommendations on hardware and software purchases
*Negotiates with Vendors on behalf of the company to ensure cost effective purchasing decisions
*Ensuring HIPAA compliance and performs as HIPAA security officer and maintains our security and encryption codes
*Coach team to respond effectively to a wide variety of users with diverse learning styles

*BS/BA in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience
*Microsoft Certification a plus
*10 or more years exp. managing an information systems department in a medium or large size firm
*Significant IT management in the healthcare industry; health plan experience a plus
*Prior experience managing technical staff in multiple locations preferred
*Solid technical knowledge and capability on the design, implementation and support for 24x7x265 network operation in corporate and regional site locations
*Microsoft Windows technology and server applications, SQL server, Exchange server, Share Point server
