Jobing Description
Responsibilities
• Achieve project performance goals on all custom industrial automation equipment development projects,
• Manage and minimize risk during all phases of a project
• Set and manage customer and company expectations.
• Identify engineering, operations, and support resources necessary to achieve performance targets
• Coach systems engineering staff toward modern professional performance in the areas of:
• Project management
• Presentation and communication with customers and other departments
• Working with sales channel and systems engineers, develop conceptual design, schedule, and cost estimation of semi-automated parts handlers for laser industrial processing equipment based on customer requirements, in a timely manner to meet aggressive pre-sale schedule targets
• Partner with vendors and other third party entities to augment systems development and execution capacity to match our variable demand

Expected abilities:
• Professional project management methodology
• Competence in managing hardware and software engineering projects related to custom equipment design in a commercial environment.
• Expert knowledge in selection and implementation of major automation machine controls and electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components.
• Excellent verbal and written communications, addressing diverse audiences including internal and external senior management, technical, production and office staff.
• Practical knowledge of domestic and international machine design, documentation, safety, and electromagnetic standards
• Occasional travel domestically and internationally without restrictions

Skills / Requirements

Requirements
• Five or more years experience in a technical Project Management capacity within a custom engineering department supplying products to external customers
• Four-year college degree in engineering or related area
• Experience working collaboratively with internal and external customers to solve complex business and technical challenges
• USA Citizenship

Plusses
• Professional software development management training and experience
• Practical experience with industrial lasers
• Advanced college degree in engineering or related area
