Job: Planner

Job Description:

The Divisional planner will work directly with the Divisional Sales Manager to constantly maintain seasonal planned buys down to the style-color level.

The planner will be in constant communication with the Divisional Merchandisers to relay changes in category goals and product initiatives and will maintain a quantitative, bottoms up, snapshot of decisions made at all stages of development.

Planned rollups for each season will be due at various stages of the development cycle and general responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

• Work with Divisional Managers and Sales Reps to “forecast” seasonal & fiscal goals
• Manage the bottoms up financial plan for each season and ensure that it is keeping in line with the bottoms down goals and initiatives
• Create and manage the “numeric” and/or “quantitative” line plan each season
• Manage monthly buys and inventories to achieve planned financial goals
• Optimize inventory offerings to maximize profitability
• Reforecast in-season plans as necessary and rollup and report on an ongoing basis
• Maintain seasonal planned buys at all points of seasonal development
• Act as analysis & reports manager for divisions & categories assigned

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years experience in planning preferred. Experience in purchasing, allocations and/or merchandising considered.
• Strong financial & analytical skills a must
• Excellent Excel skills a must
• Enterprise planning software experience appreciated
• AA and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Proposed Structure:

Planners will be assigned to designated divisions and will maintain the forward looking plans as well as manage the in-season buys and inventory decisions..

Planners will work directly with Sales Managers, Divisional Merchandisers and Purchasing teams and will report directly to the Planning & Analysis Manager.
