Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will report to the Manager of Program Management Office (PMO) in IT Solutions Delivery and Maintenance. He or she will manage a staff of Project Managers and Analysts. Typical responsibilities will include: optimizing the use of SAP Project Systems which includes but not limited to the creation and maintenance of policies, standards, business rules and other related requirements; providing services for the many IT Program, Project Managers and Project Analysts by ensuring project artifacts are current and available; developing in-house training programs for project managers and project support analysts; conducting process development and improvement; preparing regular, periodic and event-driven enterprise management reports/presentations; fostering communication across and within the Information Technology Business Unit (ITBU); interfacing with internal work teams, and external vendors/consultants; conducting project management compliance reviews to ensure standards and tools are implemented for consistency across the organization; working with project management tools, techniques and life cycle methodologies; interfacing with integration services and participating in project health reviews; providing close direction or oversight of work performed and desired results; selecting staff and managing employee performance and development by conducting performance planning and reviews, coaching employees, and carrying out disciplinary action when necessary; recommending and/or approving departmental policies and procedures and assisting in the development of department policies and procedures; developing business plans, objectives, and initiatives for the organization in alignment with business strategy and customer requirements; assisting in the development of initiatives for corporate strategic plans and objectives; and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Skills / Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Must have two to five years' supervising experience or five or more years experience in the management principles of budgeting, staffing, logistics, performance management, process development, and process improvement. Must have experience working with
SAP Project Systems.

Core Competencies:
- Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing communications and organization change management plans which includes creating organizational update communications and training development plans.
- Demonstrated experience working with project management tools, techniques and life cycle methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing formal planning, tracking, and reporting on project or group performance.
- Demonstrated experience working individually or in a team setting.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing and collaborating with direct reports, all levels of management, other departments, and clients.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through others by providing leadership and resource planning including prioritizing activities, delegating and monitoring the progress of assignments, and holding employees accountable for results.
- Demonstrated ability to manage talent and create effective teams by selecting and developing employees to fill talent gaps.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate self and others to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions that have considerable business impact on day-to-day operations.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic plans that have a small to moderate impact on the organization, and facilitating forums to capture the stakeholder requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
- Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.

Preferences:
- Southern California Edison (SCE) Training in Program Management Processes, Business Case Process and SCE Budget and Utility.
- Certifications: Project Management Institute (PMI) Certificate and SCE IT PM Center of Excellence (COE) Certificate or UCI PM Certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) or formal Information Technology Infrastructure Library processes (ITIL).
- Demonstrated experience working with Access.
