Job Title: Sr. Project Manager
Job Ref#: NB60466411EA Typical Responsibilities: The successful candidate will lead complex initiatives/projects that include transformational process improvements, significant technology enhancements or major organizational transitions. He or she will be responsible for the creation of detailed project plans with charter, scope, project management approach, business readiness (change management) approach, work breakdown structure, cost estimates, schedule and milestones. He or she will plan, direct and coordinate project activities to ensure the goals, objectives, success measures and major milestones are accomplished in accordance with scope, schedule and budget. Typical responsibilities will include: utilizing project management and process improvement techniques to make budget projections, identify/mitigate risk, develop and implement business readiness plans; determining scope for large projects with impact across the Operations Support (OS) organization; providing management and strategic direction to a cross-functional project team to develop, prioritize, and implement strategic business plans and further the department's process management framework; consulting, interacting and influencing at the most senior levels of the various OS business lines to develop solutions and facilitate cooperation between departments on shared objectives and educate on process management; identifying and managing resolution of usually complex issues; analyzing information and making sound decisions that have considerable business process and operational impacts; ensuring that implementation plans include sustainability measures; communicating evaluations and recommendations both orally and in writing; providing coaching and training to other project managers in the project management discipline and process improvement (Lean Six Sigma) methodology; and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Skills / Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Must have seven or more years experience in organizational programs, contract management, or managing complex, cross-functional and high impact projects. Core Competencies: - Bachelor Degree in Business, or Technical Discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. - Typically possesses five or more years experience in leading major projects with process improvement techniques. - Demonstrated experience leading and managing large cross-functional teams. - Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring other project managers in project management and team building techniques. - Demonstrated experience working with project management tools and techniques in developing, managing and implementing multiple complex projects concurrently, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the schedule, cost, scope, and resources of projects. - Demonstrated experience making strategic decisions regarding project scope, schedule, impact, policy development, and implementation. - Demonstrated experience interfacing and collaborating with team members, all levels of management including senior management, different departments and external stakeholders to develop solutions and facilitate cooperation between different parties. - Demonstrated experience consulting with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results. - Demonstrated experience in integrating complex processes, people, and innovative technologies. - Demonstrated proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, and Project. - Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. - Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation. - Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning. Preferences: Project Management Professional Certification (PMP). Masters in Business Administration or related field. Six Sigma Certification.
