Position Description
Responsible for assisting department personnel in conducting surveillance, investigations, special studies, history/physical examinations, chart review, case management, and post-exposure control. Carries own case load of patients with infectious diseases. Initiates case finding activities, laboratory testing, isolation, immunization, chemoprophylaxis, patient placement. Liaison to organization departments and local health authorities.

Job Specification
[Required] CA RN license or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (MT) or equivalent educational degree. Three years experience in an acute care environment.
[Preferred] California Registered Nurse, CIC (Certification in Infection Control) or acquired within 2 years of employment, self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented. Possesses solid data analysis skills, excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
