Job: Restaurant Host - Wolfgang Puck, Seasonal/Part Time: Macy's South Coast Plaza

Overview:


The Restaurant Host provides outstanding customer service by monitoring customer traffic flow, acknowledging and seating customers upon arrival, providing product information and thanking customers at their departure.


Key Accountabilities:

Follows Food Division Best Practices.
Demonstrate current and working knowledge of Food Service area.
Ensure dining room is properly set for customer service.
Effectively deals with multiple customers and seats customers at clean tables avoiding over-seating.
Communicates customer requests or concerns and service flow issues with servers and manager on duty.
Knowledgeable of servers' duties and responsibilities, table numbers and station assignments.
Answers phone and records reservations according to food division standards.
Follows Food Safety standards and maintains work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
Follows area specific steps of service.
Educate, sample and serve customers food products.
Follows station specific duties and responsibilities.

Opens and/or closes area following appropriate checklist, verifies completion with Manager on Duty prior to leaving the area.

Maintains PAR stock levels and standards in product presentations.
Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress code to comply with Food Division and Health Department standards.
Works with the bus team to assist in clearing and resetting tables during peak periods.
Work scheduled shifts as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
