The Girl Scout Council of Orange County (GSCOC) is looking for an entrepreneurial leader who has successfully developed a business enterprise. The most critical role this position will play is in the development of a sustainable business model for an existing 700 acre camp located in the Idyllwild area. Candidates must also have a strong financial acumen and have the capacity to understand and manage a balance sheet and P&L with the best but reach beyond the accounting perspective to financial planning and strategy. This position will report directly to the CEO and have multiple direct reports responsible for Camp Operations, Finance, Property & Facilities and IT. We are not looking for an IT, Finance or Operations expert; we are looking for an exceptional individual who has the appropriate leadership capabilities and extraordinary development abilities who wants to contribute to the Girl Scout Mission.
To be successful in this position, candidates must be able to: * Develop successful sustainable business models * Quickly evaluate the current state and proceed to enterprise exploration and development. * Use market analysis and marketing appropriately * Collaborate with and create enthusiasm and support among internal and external parties for the new camp model. * Coach and direct successful work teams. * Manage projects successfully. * Understand and utilize technology appropriately. * Think “outside of the box”. Skills / Requirements
The minimum position qualifications are:
* Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university preferably in Business Administration. * Successful experience in enterprise development “from the ground up”. * 5-7 years supervisory experience. * Excellent project planning skills. * Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent knowledge and ability to use appropriate software and the internet * Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing, evaluating and producing results Important Notes
