Jobing Description
1. Answer telephone and greet visitors. Routes calls to appropriate party, provide information and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
2. Input data, type and file documents. 3. Process information accounts payables and receivables. 4. Perform customer service duties and reception duties (i.e. phone, sign for packages, facilitate courier pick-ups, facilitate UPS package deliveries & pick-ups) 5. Schedule and maintain office calendar. 6. Type, proofread and edit a variety of documents and forms including general correspondence, publications, agendas, reports, orders, press releases, advertising, and memoranda; participation in completing critical reports. 7. Follow and enforce safety standards and other policies and procedures. 8. Assist with various special events (i.e. sustaining campaign). 9. Assist with the collection and processing of agency forms and payments 10. Assist Program Directors with special assignments as needed and perform other duties as assigned. 11. Conducts activities that promote family involvement, membership by design, and the value of diversity. 12. Follow Association policies and procedures for health and safety. 13. Integrate Character Development values (caring, responsibility, respect, and honesty) into program and interaction with participants and staff, and be a role model those values. 14. Attend all staff meetings, trainings and other YMCA functions as required by Supervisor. 15. Maintain open lines of communication with participants, staff and supervisor.16. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills / Requirements
Education & Certifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, 1-2 years experience in a busy office. Experience & Background Ability to handle multiple assignments, organizational skills, attention to detail, pleasant demeanor, patient, enjoys interacting with people, basic PC and typing skills required. Must clear a background screening including a fingerprint clearance. Important Notes
Environmental Factors: Primarily indoor sites; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on slippery or uneven surfaces. Noise level is usually moderate.
