Job: Communications Project Manager

Telecommunications Project Manager to provide project related management for multiple telecommunication engineering projects with an emphasis on Wireless, and OSP/ISP telecommunications projects throughout the Western Region. This position is accountable for all aspects of a project's success from the initial bidding process, to meeting or exceeding the clients expectations and on through the profitable completion of the job. Additionally, this position provides direct support to other functional project teams in the planning and execution of the job including resolving issues, managing resources, project coordination, interfacing with client representatives regarding the projects progress, oversight of project accounting, training, mentoring and coaching. This position is part of the companies Communication Design Department and is considered strategic within the organization. This position will be based in the West Region company's headquarters in Pomona, CA. with long and short term assignments determined by specified projects and the location of those projects.

Major Job Elements:

Manages overall project performance (scope, bidding, safety, quality, schedule, innovation, cost, and customer satisfaction) coordinating site specific project management or coaching during the initiation and planning phases.

Serves as single-point of contact, establishing, maintaining and managing customer, sub contractor and joint venture partner expectations (where applicable) regarding overall project performance.

Reports project status and performance data as required to management and stakeholders.

Ensures compliance with the Henkels & McCoy established Project Management Methodology (PMM).

Plans, monitors, and controls the project throughout its lifecycle.

At a given time could be involved in any combination of:
o Running a major project or several smaller projects.
o Assist in the marketing and business development activities as required.
o Acts as sponsor for large projects.

Coach PMs or Associated PMs in medium size projects.

10+ years of relevant (Wireless and OSP/ISP telecommunication industry) Project Management, Engineering Experience required.

BS degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related profession preferred

Advanced knowledge and experience in wireless and OSP/ISP telecommunication industry Project Management/Engineering Methodology required.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required.

Experience / knowledge of telecommunication engineering, Wireless, OSP/ISP, operations, design, financial acumen and team based management required.

Proficient understanding of CPM scheduling and software applications (Primavera, MS Project) is required.

Travel maybe required as well as the ability to commit to long term on site assignments.

Thorough understanding of Wireless, OSP/ISP telecommunication industry engineering practices, operations, contract administration, contract management, and standards.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
