Typical Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for CAD software services, CAD Drawing database support, CAD help desk, and CAD drawing production plotting. Typical responsibilities include: analyzing client business issues and problems related to CAD
drawings; identifying requirements and specifications; providing day to day support, and routine system guidance; responding to client requests; developing and implementing solutions; investigating, testing, evaluating and distributing new products or upgrades; integrating selected software with standard workstation configurations; developing code, custom commands, menus, and symbol libraries using AutoCAD development tools; maintaining Edison drawing standards; providing CAD consultation Services to
Transmission and Distribution, other business units, and client contractors; providing decision support data, application and/or infrastructure project planning and implementation; maintaining archival document management system; performing ad-hoc reporting, providing consultation and recommendations for system changes or upgrades; resolving user trouble calls; correcting software defects; providing CAD user training; providing management and support for high volume plotting operation, for Southern California Edison and contract engineering services for internal and external plotting; and performing other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:
Must possess three or more years experience in supporting CAD system operations.

Core Competencies:
- Bachelor degree in Information Systems or related field; or an equivalent combination of formal education, training, and experience.
- Typically possesses five or more years experience defining system requirements, project scope, and performing cost benefit analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with end users in order resolve AutoCad issues.
- Demonstrated experience defining systems requirements and analyzing business and systems processes, specifically related to
Computer Aided Design (CAD).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct AutoCAD user training.
- Demonstrated ability to be customer focused, including identifying client needs and achieving customer expectations.
- Proficient in the use of MS-Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

Comments:
This position will be relocating to Pomona early 2010. Additional testing may be required as part of the selection process for this position.

Preferences:
Knowledge of SCE Engineering drawing standards, Virtual Private Network and Secure ID token concepts. Knowledge with SCE's Transmission and Distribution electrical power grid design and engineering process. Demonstrated experience with software installation.
