Welcome to Healthcare Executives of Southern California (HCESOCAL)

50th Year Celebration

Healthcare Executives of Southern California (HCE) was founded in 1957 as the Young Executives Group a department of the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC). In 2004, HCE became one of the first chartered local independent chapters for the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).  Though the years our mission has remained our guiding force, to provide high quality education and networking opportunities for our members. The traditional service area of HCE extends from Santa Barbara to Palm Springs and down to south Orange County.

Each year HCE produces a half to full day Annual seminar in November presenting topics and speakers of relevance to today’s healthcare executive. This organization also produces College Bowl a Jeopardy-like program, and the Gamble Competition an essay and presentation contest both for graduate health administration students. In addition HCE presents evening and morning programs throughout the year to provide our members information on hot healthcare topics and an opportunity to become more widely know in this dynamic market.

Our Mission

The mission of Healthcare Executives of Southern California (HCE) is to increase the knowledge and professional competency of its members by providing a rich variety of educational opportunities; to enhance their career growth and satisfaction by providing opportunities and stimulus for networking and sharing; and to contribute to the health industry as a whole through the development and promotion of its future leaders.  HCE is the independent, local Southern California chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

Our Objectives

Education: To contribute to the professional growth of our members through educational and other activities.

Effective Health Care Management: To promote effective health care management by creating a forum to discuss common concerns, to investigate issues and to share ideas.

Hospital Association Linkage: To assist the Hospital Association of Southern California in accomplishing its goals and objectives by acting as a resource.

American College of Healthcare Executives Linkage: To augment the mission, role and activities of ACHE.
