Drive processes and technology improvement initiatives for the products, using standard project methodology (requirements, design, test, etc.). Use data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for the business and clients. Engage users in analysis and evaluation of functional models and prototypes; identify dependencies and priorities. Evaluate technology applications for use by the user community. Produce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc client and operational reports relating to the development and performance of products.

This business analyst position will report to the Formulary Operations Manager to help support the building and maintaining of formularies, support for formulary documents, decisions and client communications, prepare requests for formulary and utilization management changes, support drug review processes for updates to client formularies, and support for completion of excel grids.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze formulary data to determine the appropriate process for building and maintaining formularies in the Formulary Management application.


• Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other colleagues to track and maintain formulary information for specific clients


• Support short and long term operational/strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and as well as supporting development and maintenance of the Formulary Management application.


• Develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.


• Work closely with IT to design applications and gather requirements. Write and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and cases

Core Competencies: Good documentation skills with experience in documenting standard operating procedure (SOPs) and business process flows- (Writing technical documents and operating procedures).

Skills / Requirements

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED


• 2+ years PBM experience / formulary operations knowledge - Have functional knowledge with managing formulary or prescription drug lists, either at a different PBM or other clinical settings with drug data concepts (such as benefit design, tiering, and utilization management restrictions) and formulary build and maintenance experience


• Advanced Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel skills - Proficient in performing data comparisons in Excel and performing Access queries

Assets:
