Blog Post: Future Business Leaders Of America, UCLA Networking Night
posted Thursday, February 28, 2008 3:08 PM
Not that we need it, but more proof here that networking is the key to success. And the earlier you start your pipeline, the better. UCLA's Chapter of the "Future Business Leaders of America" held their annual Networking Night," giving students and FBLA members an opportunity to meet local employers face to face. The round table format inspired great discussion in a comfortable environment - not that these impressive young people needed it. WOW! What an impressive bunch. Attention employers, UCLA is turning out some great future talent. These young people are smart, savvy, eager to learn about their future employment outlook and driven to succeed. They asked informed relevant questions in a thoughtful and honest manner. After two hours of round table meetings with all the attending employers, most of the students went away with internships or promises of future meetings. It was a great night! And it illustrates the importance of making and keeping great contacts as you go along in your career. Congrats, to the FBLA board for hosting such a great event. I look forward to the next one.
