Today, I'd like to talk about volunteer opportunities at PPLA.

Why am I posting this on a JOBS website? Bear with me...

Our volunteers are a fantastic asset to the agency, and sometimes even end up joining us as employees. Maybe you're interested in changing careers, but have no experience in your desired field. Volunteering can really "beef up" your resume by adding experience and building new skills, making you more appealing to hiring managers.  Volunteering can get you back out there, providing a chance to be and feel productive, and in the case of PPLA, volunteering gives you an opportunity to learn about the organization and its activities and goals firsthand.

HEALTH CENTER VOLUNTEERS

Front Desk Assistant , Appointment Follow-Up Call Assistant , Patient Advocate

EDUCATION VOLUNTEERS

High School Speakers Middle School Speakers, Parent/Adult Education & Training, Health Fair Volunteers

DEVELOPMENT VOLUNTEERS

Donor Call Team, Internet Research Mailings Database Entry Filing

PUBLIC AFFAIRS VOLUNTEERS

Phone banking, volunteer recruitment, letter writing, and speaking to groups/organizations; assist in maintaining our activist database

DROP-IN EVENTS

Pro-Choice Volunteer Night, Heath Center Outreach Events
