posted Wednesday, June 10, 2009

It not to late to register for the 2009 HR Legal updates seminar on Thursday, June 18th at Jobing.com in Los Angeles. Registration will start at 10AM  and also be an opportunity to network with other HR Professionals.  You will leave with more knowledge about  the compliance changes with the ERISA and DOL standards and some next steps.

John D. Jennings with The Hartford Retirement Plans Group
will be covering crucial changes on:
• Liabilities, legal or otherwise. Do you have any liabilities in your current plan
• How to lower a plan's overall fee structure for your organization.
• Top reasons as plan sponsors, you should review your current service providers and how to do so.
• What to look for in a 401(k) advisor for your organization. How they can make your life easier & who shoulders the fiduciary responsibilities?
• 401k(k) investment options, are some plan providers better than the rest?

Over the last seven years John has dedicated his career to the corporate retirement plans arena and has become an accredited instructor of classes that focus on The Fiduciary Responsibilities of Corporate Plan Sponsors. John has sold and consulted on corporate retirement plans and regularly educates financial advisors and the general public on the prudent processes necessary in the administration of corporate retirement plans. He has given numerous Fiduciary Responsibilities presentations over the last few years to plan sponsors, PIHRA organizations, CPA’s, attorneys, and financial advisors. As a student of the art, he keeps abreast of the evolving landscape by reading past and present case law and attending seminars himself. “Many plan sponsors are not fully aware of the depth of their responsibilities nor do they realize the level of potential liabilities associated. I enjoy teaching plan sponsors about and assisting plan sponsors in correcting these areas of potential weakness.”
