The Employment Development Department presents a Veteran Appreciation Day Job & Resource Fair at the WorkSource Los Angeles Urban League Business and Career Center in Los Angeles on May 20, 2009, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., in celebration of Military Appreciation month. This Fair is a partnership with the Los Angeles Urban League, the Los Angeles Department of Public Social Services GROW/GAIN, Goodwill Serving the People of Southern Los Angeles County, Vietnam Nam Veterans of America and United States Veterans Initiative. The job fair honors our active duty servicemen, women, & veterans and is open to all job seekers. Some of the participating companies includes; Timec, Macys, Sparkletts Water Co., Kaiser Permante, U-Haul, AutoZone and many others. The event is aimed at helping veterans and non veterans find employment and providing services to support their job searches.
