Blog Post: Jobing mobiles are generating a lot of buzz around LA these days

One of the things I love most about working at Jobing.com is our company’s focus on rewarding employees for all of our hard work. With the pain at the gas pump right now, what would you do to get your boss to pay for your gas? Employees here at Jobing.com already have the answer to that question- turn your vehicle into a mobile billboard! Have you seen one of our Jobing mobiles cruising around Greater LA and wondered why somebody would do that to their car? We’ve been getting a lot of calls and emails about the recent media coverage of our fleet of “Jobing mobiles,” so now seems like a great time to tell you more about it. It’s been exciting for all of us at Jobing with recent news coverage on CNN, Good Morning America, and the Wall Street Journal.
What are Jobing mobiles all about? They are employee-owned vehicles wrapped with a special vinyl cover, turning them into eye-catching mobile billboards for Jobing.com. This unique employee benefit program began back in 2001, when Jobing.com was a staff of only 10 people. The idea came from our CEO and Founder, Aaron Matos, who wanted to find a cost-effective, unique way to create awareness for the company within the community. Not only would a Jobing mobile do that, but it also created a cool way for employees to earn some extra money and get free gas- a benefit that is extremely valuable for all of us right now. Employees who drive a wrapped vehicle get an additional $500 added to their paycheck every month and Jobing.com picks up the tab for 100% of employee fuel costs- whether personal or business related. Most of all, the Jobing mobiles are a great reminder of who we are at Jobing.com- recruiting professionals who live, work, and play right here in our community; people who know what unique challenges that come with recruiting in Los Angeles.
