A New Date...May 31, 2008 10:30 - 3:30PM

  I am Tonya Haynes' Photoexcited to inform you that the "Urgent Business Care Clinic" has expanded! We were spotted on the radar of some very important people who feel the service we are providing to business owners, company organizational/business units and the community is critically needed, and are allowing us to provide a next level experience and opportunity to the participants of the program.

For more than 20 years I worked in Fortune 100 companies, such as Mattel Toys, Hughes Aircraft Company, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), DIRECTV, NBC/Universal, Boeing Aircraft and Automatic Data Processing (ADP) building businesses or business units within companies. All these companies and the executives had the same expectations, they wanted:

  • Employees who were mentally engaged
  • A positive financial bottom line
  • Managers/employees who understood their company business, culture and processes
  • Customers, Customers, Customers!
  • A seamless integration of new processes, business units, new technologies etc...

But How? If you haven't built a business or seen a business that operates this seamlessly...then how do you manifest this expectation?

BUILDING A BUSINESS IS AN EXPERIENCE

Therefore instead of going live, Saturday, April 19, 2008, the date has been moved in order to make updates to the program that will provide an experience that will take business to the next level.

The revised date is, Saturday, May 31, 2008. The schedule with registration deadlines is provided below. Here are a few of the changes that have been made:

- Track A: Navigating Your Way to Success! / Writing a business plan never had so much incentive. At the end of the class there will be a competition for the best business plan. A panel of five judges will award: $500 to the winner. Deadline for registration is May 27, 2008.

- Track B: Protecting the Venture/ The first 10 people to enroll and complete the class will get 4 hours of complimentary consultation by Phoenix Business Development Group, in the business area of their choice, valued at $1000.

- Track C: Word of Mouth/ Participants will be placed into teams of five and our panel of judges will decide which team has the best Marketing Plan. The winning team gets $500.

- Track D: Financials: The Lifeblood of the Business/ In this round the award goes to the best Financial Plan gaining this team of five $500.

- Track E: People, Processes & Technology/ Join us as we align an organization through its resources, assets, tools and human capital. We aim to keep our judges busy as they decide which team of five gets $500.

- Track F: People: The Final Ingredient/ The final round gains a team of five $500 if they can design the best plan for attracting and retaining the best talent,  keeping the employees motivated and creating a company culture that has your turnover rate at less than 3%.

URGENT BUSINESS CARE CLINIC SM

Restoring Health and Wellness to your Business

FOUNDATION · STABILIZATION · CONTINUATION

Daily, I am asked about or requested to speak on the topic of “business and organizational success” or its polar opposite, “the cause of business and organizational collapse.” After 25 years in the corporate arena and more than 10 years as a business owner providing solutions to challenges faced by Fortune 500, mid - size and emerging companies, I’ve learned there is not a simple or single answer to these questions although there are some trends.

  Organizations and businesses that are successful are very good at:

*    Deploying their assets and resources, timely and accurately

*    Understanding how to translate the performance of their organization or business into manageable, measurable, specific plans of action

*    Implementing the tools needed to perform the job

*    Hiring individuals into right - fit positions

The barriers to successful positioning exist when it appears leadership does not believe, understand or consider that alignment needs to occur between the needs of the business, the clients and the employees and those decisions cannot be made in a vacuum but in a collaborative effort between all the forementioned parties.

When building a business or a business unit, it helps if you understand from a visionary perspective, the business of business and how each element of the marketing, financial and operating activities connect to create a successful, engaged, thriving business model.

As the intermediary and conduit for successful best practices to emerging businesses and organizations, Phoenix Business Development Group and the Los Angeles Urban League are partnering to bring you the “Urgent Business Care Clinic” designed to take emerging business owners and organizational leaders through a step – by – step journey into the DNA of building a business model that:

*       Attracts more clients

*       Retains their best talent

*       Is more profitable

*       Consistently exceeds goals and expectations

This series of 6 – week programs is an introduction and preview into building a business model through the alignment of its People · Processes ·Technology. We use a variety of training methods; speakers, Q & A, assessments, role – play, videos, examinations and a team of passionate, dedicated professionals as a success strategy for assisting our participants in the learning process. This program is an excellent resource tool for new and existing business owners and organizational leaders seeking to improve their business knowledge, infuse new life into their organization and implementing growth strategies. The program can be taken in its entirety or a – la – carte. The first track, "Navigating Your Way to Success",  begins Saturday, April 19, 2008.

There will be opportunity drawings, engaging topics, lots of fun and lunch will be provided.
