Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will act as the Senior Test Functional Lead/Test Manager for large programs for Customer Service Business Unit (CSBU), Power Procurement Business Unit (PPBU) or Transmission and Distribution Business Unit (TDBU). Typical responsibilities will include: ensuring quality software products delivered to clients; planning for quality/test activities; developing test strategies/test plans; ensuring requirements are good, peer reviews are conducted and good test cases; managing and performing verification and validation activities; developing estimates for project quality control and testing efforts; ensuring quality control/testing practices are adhered to in various phases of the project; participating in project technical reviews; validating the outputs of the project to ensure continued alignment with business requirements and defined standards of requirements, design and code; performing and leading gap and/or root cause assessments of defects throughout the project life cycle; assessing the impacts of defects and problems found throughout the project phases and consulting by making recommendations accordingly; performing risk identification/mitigation; leading and managing individual contributors and cross-functional teams; directing analysts and testers in their roles of developing test cases/steps and test execution; providing status reporting to all stakeholders and management; and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

.Basic Qualifications:
Must have seven or more years experience working with information systems in applications development.

Core Competencies:
- Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Engineering or Technical Discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Typically possesses five or more years of project management or project lead experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with software development life cycle.
- Demonstrated experience working as an expert in systems analysis and testing.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing individual contributors and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience with project management tools and methods, project performance/status reporting, and risk identification/mitigation.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing and collaborating with team members, all levels of management, different departments and external stakeholders to develop solutions and facilitate cooperation between different parties.
- Demonstrated experience consulting with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results.
- Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
- Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.

Preferences:
Demonstrated experience in Test Management and Quality Control concepts/practices. Demonstrated experience in managing testing of large programs/projects. Project Management Certification.
