With limited supervision, the Program Supervisor II is responsible for supervising a professional-level staff that delivers direct services to clients with overall responsibility for meeting contractual requirements. This position is defined by a combination of the size of the budget (typically over $500,000 per year), the number and level of staff (typically 6-8 Master’s level & 1 clerical) and the complexity or impact of the program responsibilities. The Program Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the Wraparound program. The Program Supervisor is knowledgeable about and embraces the Wraparound process and philosophy. The Program Supervisor reinforces system wide, family-centered, flexible services practices that support family decision making. The supervisor ensures that staff work from a strengths-based, family-centered perspective in carrying out their job duties. The Program Supervisor reviews all Child and Family Plans of Care and monitors contract compliance. The Program Supervisor ensures that the Children’s Bureau Wraparound services and practices maintain fidelity to the established Wraparound standards. Skills / Requirements
• Must be an LCSW, MFT, or licensed Clinical Psychologist with at least 4 years of experience working with children and families in the social service or mental health field; and 2 years post licensure experience with ability to supervise interns.
• Must have at least 2-4 years past experience as a supervisor or manager of a program with increasing levels of responsibility. • Previous experience as a team leader desirable. • Previous experience providing Wraparound services is highly desirable. Must have sufficient knowledge of the Wraparound process to be able to share it with others and take part in the training process. • Should have knowledge of LA County Department of Mental Health paperwork, be able to review and approve DMH documentation, and take on the responsibilities of the SFPR should it become necessary. • Must possess sensitivity to family culture, values and beliefs, and operate from a family-centered, strength-based perspective. • Must have good organizational skills. • Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Pay: $60,000 to $65,000/year
