Job: Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic EMT-P

Paramedics for Gerber Ambulance Service provide both emergency and non-emergency advanced life support care. Our paramedics respond from our new station in Torrance with private paramedic quarters, showers, kitchen, TV/video etc., and use of portable radios.

To date, 27 units are providing both BLS and ALS ambulance service, MALS units and Critical Care nurse staffed units.

Gerber provides EMT and Paramedic support to:AVP Professional Volleyball, Skateboarding, X Games, College Football, and Movie/TV Sets: Lie to Me, Fast and The Furious, Downtown Street Parties, Film and TV Star Events, MTV, and many others...

Schedule
Currently, with two paramedic units in service, crews are scheduled for twelve hour shifts, three or four days per week. Shift trades are available and time off is permitted with advanced notice. One weeks paid vacation (3 days) after one year.

EMT's & Paramedics: Please bring H-6 printout from DMV with your application.
12-hour shifts, Full time=3 / 4 days a week, OT available weekly, up to 6 shifts per week allowed

CA DMV Ambulance Drivers Certificate
CA DMV DL-51 green card
CA DMV H-6 printout (not more than 30 days old)
Los Angeles City DOT drivers Permit (Gerber will provide application)
(If applicant has never obtained Los Angeles County Paramedic Accreditation than they will have to go through LA COUNTY EMS Agency Paramedic Orientation and Accreditation) Paramedic Coordinator will set up appointment
